The second and third rounds of the 2017 NFL draft continued on Friday night from Philadelphia, and a number of prospects were hoping to hear their names called from the podium. One of those was former Michigan cornerback Jourdan Lewis. He was still undrafted as the third round of Friday evening’s draft got started.
As Michigan’s Jourdan Lewis was unpicked in the NFL draft, Ohio State’s Mike Thomas celebrated
This is cold.

Because the Michigan-Ohio State rivalry is a 365-day affair, former Ohio State Buckeye wide receiver Mike Thomas took to Twitter to ask sarcastically if former Wolverine cornerback Jourdan Lewis had been drafted yet.
Eventually, Lewis was picked in the third round by the Dallas Cowboys.
Thomas was picked in last year’s draft with the No. 47 overall pick to the New Orleans Saints. As a rookie, he had 1,137 yards and nine touchdowns. Over Lewis’s four years in Ann Arbor, he accounted for 135 tackles and six interceptions. Aren’t college football rivalries, especially the ones like Ohio State-Michigan, just the best?
After the heated 2016 game between the Buckeyes and Wolverines, Lewis responded to an Ohio State assistant’s jab at Michigan over arguments about the game-deciding fourth-down spot:
Stay biter, Michigan-Ohio State rivalry.
