Philly rivals gloriously trolled furious Eagles fans throughout the NFL draft

This was fantastic to watch unfold.

The 2017 NFL Draft continued with the second and third rounds in Philadelphia on Friday night. For these rounds, there were guest announcers who were former players of the Eagles’ division rivals — the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, and New York Giants. And yes, they had fun riling up the Philly crowd.

First, former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Drew Pearson riled up the crowd as he announced the Cowboys’ No. 60 overall pick.

He announced the Cowboys’ selection of cornerback Chidobe Awuzie like a seasoned wrestling heel. He name-dropped the entire Cowboys organization and referenced its success just to get Eagles fans riled up.

“And on behalf of the five-time world champion Dallas Cowboys, Hall of Fame owner Jerry Jones, Gene Jones and the Jones family, Jason Garrett, all the Cowboys players that played before me, that played with me, and that played after me,” Pearson said, “with the 60th pick in the second round, the Cowboys select the defensive back from Colorado, Chidobe Awuzie.”

Cowboys fans at the draft loved it. Eagles fans did not

Pearson admitted after he announced the pick that he had to take some heat for what he did on Twitter.

Next, former Washington Redskins linebacker London Fletcher came on to announce the Washington Redskins’ 81st pick, and he reminded them about his playing days against the Eagles, too.

“This feels like home! Feels like old times. I expected more from Philly as many hits I put on y’alls running backs and receivers.”

And finally, former New York Giants linebacker Jessie Armstead had one of the best troll jobs of all. He decided to respond to the Eagle fans’ booing by a quiet but effective maneuver — holding up what appeared to be two Super Bowl rings to the raucous crowd. But you guys, there’s a hidden gem about him holding up these rings. Armstead never won any Super Bowls with the Giants when he was with them from 1993-2001. So New York most likely just gave him some rings to wear up there.

He also then verbally reminded them that the Giants have Super Bowl wins and the Philadelphia Eagles don’t when announcing the pick.

“World Champion New York Giant! With the 87th pick of the the 2017 draft, the New York Football World Champions select Davis Webb, quarterback, California!”

Shoutout to these guys for providing us all with some extra entertainment on Friday night.
