Rob Gronkowski injury: Patriots TE out for remainder of the game

Rob Gronkowski won’t be coming back to this game after suffering a forearm injury.

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski won't be returning to his team's AFC Divisional Playoff game against the Houston Texans after suffering an injury to his previously broken left forearm.

Gronkowski initially left the game in the first half when he landed hard on the arm, which was wrapped in protective tape. This is the second game Gronkowski has played in since coming down with the broken bone Nov. 18 against the Colts. Gronk's first game back was Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins, when he caught two balls for 24 yards and a touchdown.

He had only one target in this game before leaving with the injury, and didn't catch a pass. His backup/running mate Aaron Hernandez is playing well, with five catches for 71 yards. The Patriots are leading the Texans 24-13 and are ready to take control of this game, something they've learned to do without their record-breaking behemoth of a tight end.
