Seattle Seahawks tight end Zach Miller played a large role in Seattle's valiant comeback effort on Sunday, and apparently did so while injured. According to the Seattle Times, Miller tore his plantar fascia on the third play of the game, forcing him to briefly exit the Divisional round game.

Seattle Seahawks tight end Zach Miller tore his plantar fascia on the third play of the game, during Seattle’s Divisional round loss to the Atlanta Falcons.
Miller finished the game with eight receptions for 142 yards and a touchdown. Had Seattle held onto the lead in the waning moments of the game, Miller certainly would have been lauded as one of Seattle’s heroes.
Per the Seattle Times’ report, Miller received a painkilling shot in the locker room before returning to action.
In his second season with the Seahawks, Miller appeared in all 16 of Seattle’s regular season games, catching 38 passes for 396 yards and three touchdowns. In 2011, Miller caught 25 passes for 233 yards -- without finding the end zone once.
Miller will have the entire offseason to rehab the injury.
