Kelce and his partner, Taylor Swift, announced their engagement on Tuesday in a post on social media, news that is likely going to break both the Internet and the “like” button on Instagram. Swift shared the post with the caption “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” along with a series of photos of the couple.
The announcement came hours ahead of the NFL’s cutdown day, leading to some awkward transitions for the league’s biggest insiders on social media:
The announcement also came days after Swift appeared on “New Heights,” the podcast that Kelce hosts with his brother, Jason. On that show, Swift teased her upcoming album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” which drops in early October.
