Through the first three-plus weeks of the 2025 NFL season, several storylines have emerged. One of those is how well special teams have fared in the past two weeks, as Week 3 saw multiple blocked field goal attempts, as well as a few kick returns for touchdowns. That trend continued as Week 4 began with Isaiah Rodgers, the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Week during Week 3, blocked a field goal attempt from the Pittsburgh Steelers in a game in Dublin.

Another storyline? The Tush Push, and how well the Philadelphia Eagles remain at running a play that was amost voted out of the league over the summer.

During the Week 2 game between the Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs, a rematch of Super Bowl LIX, the Tush Push jolted back into the national conversation as officials may have missed penalties each time Philadelphia ran the play, including potential penalties on Kansas City for using a fake cadence.

However, after this play future opponents of Philadelphia have something else to think about.

A fake Tush Push.

With the Eagles facing a 3rd and 1 deep in Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ territory on Sunday, the Philadelphia offense line up as they do for the Tush Push. But the offense had other ideas. Instead of shoving quarterback Jalen Hurts forwards, the Eagles quarterback instead handed off to Saquon Barkley, who skipped untouched around the left edge and into the end zone:

No shoving needed here.
