Fantasy footballers, Ravens fans, and fans of watching an MVP player have had to go without Jackson this year for a three game stretch due to a hamstring, and now he missed practice on Wednesday due to a knee injury. It is still early and we are into the second half of the season when players will need more rest, but this remains a situation to monitor.

The good news is that head coach John Harbaugh did talk to the press about the situation and appeared optimistic. Often times Harbaugh will evade injury questions, especially to his star players.

Fantasy fallout

The Ravens have moved back up into the AFC North division race as the Pittsburgh Steelers have faltered, and despite a 1-5 start to the season, they are currently at 4-5 and look to go 5-5 against a weak Browns team where they are 7.5 point favorites on the road. Of course, those odds rely on Jackson playing, which Vegas believes he will at this point.

We all know the fantasy ramifications of no Jackson. The team could barely move the ball under backup Cooper Rush for two games, but then Tyler Huntley took over and helped them to a win over the Bears. We aren’t going to get as much fantasy upside with Huntley there, but it sure appears to be higher than Rush. Derrick Henry, Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews would all remain starts, albeit with lower upside, if Huntley starts.

At this point we can probably take this as a little soreness after a week Jackson took some hard hits. It would be great to see him return to practice Thursday and put in a limited practice and then get a full one in on Friday.
