Just one game remains in Week 11 of the 2025 NFL season.

But some teams have probably started thinking about the 2026 NFL Draft.

Teams such as the Tennessee Titans, New York Giants, and Cleveland Browns for example, could already be thinking about what players might be available as the 2026 NFL Draft begins. Tennessee and New York likely feel pretty good about their quarterback situation with how Cam Ward and Jaxson Dart have played, but the Browns might be looking at some quarterback film here as Thanksgiving looms.

While Monday Night Football will impact the order somewhat, here is how the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft would look if it started today, followed by some notes:

When the order is set for the 2026 NFL Draft, the non-playoff teams will be slotted into the first 18 selections in reverse order of their regular-season records. Then the teams that did qualify for the playoffs are slotted into order based on the playoff results. Wild Card losers are slotted into picks 19-24 based on the reverse order of their regular-season records, Divisional Round losers slide into picks 25-28, Conference Championship Game losers land in picks 29 and 30, and the Super Bowl loser picks at No. 31, while the winner picks last in the first round.

In terms of tiebreakers, teams that finish with identical records have the ties broken by Strength of Schedule, with the team holding the lowest Strength of Schedule securing the earlier pick. For example, as you see above the Browns, Saints, and Jets all have 2-8 records, but Cleveland would get the No. 3 pick thanks to a .488 Strength of Schedule.

In the above table, where a team has secured a pick via a trade, you see the record and Strength of Schedule for the team that traded them the pick. For example, thanks to the Sauce Gardner trade the Jets have the Colts’ pick in the first round, which right now slots in at No. 28.

As for who those players might be, here is our most recent mock draft, published after the NFL Trade Deadline.
