NFL Fines James Harrison $75,000; Dunta Robinson Fined $50,000

LB James Harrison was fined $75,000 after the Steelers Week 6 game against the Browns. Harrison laid vicious hits on WR Josh Cribbs and WR Mohammad Massaquoi knocking them both out of the game.

Falcons CB Dunta Robinson was hit with a $50,000 fine for his hitting a defenseless receiver, Eagles WR DeSean Jackson. Both Robinson and Jackson received concussions on the play.

Harrison's fine is bigger than Robinson's or Patriots S Brandon Meriweather's, both $50,000. Harrison is a repeat offender which helps explain the size of his fine. After Sunday's game, Harrison said getting fined for his hits would be a travesty and didn't express any remorse for his hits.

“I thought Cribbs was asleep,” said Harrison. “A hit like that geeks you up -- it geeks everybody up -- especially when you find out that the guy is not really hurt -- he’s just sleeping. He’s knocked out, but he’s going to be OK.”

Those comments probably didn’t resonate well in the league office.

The NFL hasn’t announced anything regarding a possible suspension for any of these players.
