And now the Eagles’ starting quarterback position is Michael Vick’s to lose. Again.
Michael Vick Will Start Week 9 Vs. Colts, Andy Reid Says
Andy Reid confirmed after the Eagles’ 36-17 loss to the Titans that Vick will be the Eagles’ starter for their Week 9 game against the Colts. That gives Vick time for his injured ribs to heal, though the top-rated passer in the NFC admits that he won’t know how healthy he is until he gets hit.
He’ll replace Kevin Kolb, whose run of strong play was halted against the Titans. Kolb went 26-of-48 against the rugged Titans defense, and threw two interceptions.
But all indications are that this is not a performance-related benching, but one that has a lot to do with Vick returning to full health.
