Texans Vs. Colts: Peyton Manning Perfect In Second Drive En Route To Opening Score

After the Colts opening drive in which Peyton Manning went 0-for-3 with two drops by two targets in for injured starters, the Colts quarterback delivered a perfect 4-for-4 performance on Indianapolis’ second offensive possession to give the Colts a 7-0 lead.

Jacob Tamme, starting in place of the injured Dallas Clark, caught two passes for 28 yards, including a seven-yard touchdown catch. The scoring drive was also set up by a 35-yard run by Mike Hart, who himself is starting in place of the injured Joseph Addai.

The Texans, sensing that they needed to match score-for-score with the Colts, attempted to convert a 4th and 2 near midfield on their next offensive possession, but the slant attempt to Kevin Walter fell incomplete.
