Texans Vs. Colts: Neil Rackers Banks In 53-Yarder
The Texans, in desperate need of any kind of score after falling behind 14-0 on the road to the Colts, had Neil Rackers attempt a 53-yard field goal to get on the board. The attempt was made longer as Matt Schaub was sacked for a seven-yard loss by Clint Sessions on third down.
This was especially interesting given that Texans head coach Gary Kubiak took a lot of heat earlier this season for declining to attempt a 52-yard field goal from Rackers in overtime in Washington.
This Kubiak was rewarded for his courage (or desperation) as Rackers’ attempt banked off the bottom of the left upright and slid just over the crossbar for a converted attempt to get Houston on the board.
