47 Vikings Players Somehow Yet To Express Distaste For Brad Childress

Now that the Wade Phillips saga in Dallas finally came to an end at the beginning of this week, Brad Childress inherits the role as the head coach the football watching publicly anxiously awaits to be unceremoniously dismissed from his job. All in the fullness of time, sports fans.

There were reports circulating that had the Vikings lost to the Cardinals on Sunday, Childress would have been fired. Lucky for Chilly, his team rallied to win. If you ask the players, it's a testament to their enduring will to overcome - both the disappointing start to the Vikings' season and their extreme dislike of their coach.

↵

No fewer than six Vikings players gave anonymous quotes bashing Childress to Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times. Quoth one: "As much as I hate Childress, I will keep playing.'' Those are words served decidedly unminced. This after recently departed receiver Randy Moss also reportedly campaigned for Childress' firing.

↵So when do they set up the Major League-style cardboard cut-out of Chilly in locker room, where with each win, the players tear off a section of covering. Guess which section Favre has dibs on?
