Dave Meggett Gets 30-Year Prison Sentence In Rape Case

According to multiple reports, Meggett has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for criminal sexual misconduct and burglary in South Carolina. Allegedly in January 2009, Meggett and a college student had some sort of sexual encounter, which Meggett later claimed was consensual and they had an argument later in the night in question. Meggett didn’t take the stand but his public defender says he will appeal.

Unfortunately this isn’t the first time Meggett has been involved with allegations of this nature. In 1998 and 2006 there have been allegations of sexual assault. Then there’s the September 2008 incident in which a woman claims Meggett forced her to have sex with him. He still faces charges in that case.
