Ravens Vs. Falcons: Atlanta Touchdown Drive Extended By Questionable Call On Terrell Suggs
The Ravens defense appeared to have stopped the Falcons drive at the beginning of the 4th quarter at the Baltimore 25. On a 3rd and long, Jason Snelling was dropped yards short of a first down on a screen pass.
But a flag was thrown on the play. While those in the announcing booth assumed it would be on Atlanta for having linemen illegally downfield on the screen, instead a 15-yard penalty was enforced on Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs for grabbing the facemask on Snelling on the play.
However, replay showed the hands of Snelling and Suggs entangled in each others’ facemasks. The Falcons ended up scoring a touchdown on the drive when Matt Ryan hit Roddy White on a four-yard touchdown to take a 20-7 lead.
