The Titans Head Into The Second Quarter Up 10-7 On The Dolphins
Chris Johnson came out immediately to remind football fans who the leading rusher in the NFL was last season. With Kerry Collins manning the Tennessee Titans offense there is most certainly a different dynamic for Johnson, who is forced to take the running game fully on his back and sees more eight-men-in-the-box formations on plays. Johnson came out guns a-blazing to help the Titans to put up 10 on the Miami Dolphins defense. Heading into the second quarter, Johnson has carried the ball 7 times for 49 yards and 1 touchdown. Rob Bironas notched a 40 yard field goal for the Titans other three points.
Miami has been forced to deal with the loss of Chad Pennington, who was named as the starting quarterback for today's game, on only the third play of the game for the Dolphins. Demoted starter Chad Henne came in to replace Pennington. The Dolphins number one wide receiver Brandon Marshall was shut out of the first quarter and has yet to make any impact on the game. Ronnie Brown scored a two yard rushing touchdown to give Miami its points so far.
