When Chad Pennington was announced as the the Miami Dolphins starter at quarterback, people wondered whether or not he would be able to hold up under the poundings of the NFL. Here was a quarterback who was known to be injury prone and would be making his first start in over a year (since week three of the 2009 NFL season). Unfortunately for Pennington this start would not be a long one.

On the third play of the game for Miami, Pennington went down with an apparent right shoulder injury which forced the quarterback to leave the game. In came demoted starter Chad Henne, who proceeded to throw for 240 yards on 19 of 28 passing and 1 touchdown and one interception. Brandon Marshall, typically Miami's top receiving threat, found himself with only 3 catches for 34 yards. Anthony Fasano led the receiving corps, catching 5 balls for 107 yards and a touchdown. Brian Hartline also had a big day, pulling in 5 passes for 98 yards and a long of 54 yards. Tyler Thigpen came on late in the game to relieve Henne, who left the game with a knee injury.
The Titans had their own quarterback problems because starter Kerry Collins had a poor game, only throwing 9 completions on 20 attempts and managing a measly 51 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. In came Vince Young and the Titans gained some momentum, pulling the game to 20-17. Young finished the day with 92 passing yards and 1 passing touchdown. Chris Johnson carried the Titans offense on his back, rushing for 117 yards on 17 carries and scoring once.
