The Dallas Cowboys went into New Meadowlands Stadium and took the New York Giants to the woodshed today.
NFL Week 10 Scores And Results: Jon Kitna Is Dallas Cowboys’ Worst Nightmare, Leads Them to 33-20 Victory Over Giants In Jason Garrett’s First Win As Head Coach
Here’s a statistic you probably wouldn’t expect to see, ever:
38-year-old veteran QB Jon Kitna averaging 25 yards per pass! He completed 13 of 22 passes for 327 yards and propelled the Cowboys to victory. WR Dez Bryant was a solid target, and caught 3 balls for 104 yards and one touchdown.
On the other side of the ball, QB Eli Manning was not his usual self. He completed 33 of 48 passes for 379 yards, with two touchdowns but two interceptions.
The Giants main struggle though came in their secondary, and that’s where they lost the game as they gave up many big plays to Dallas. They often had their safeties cheat up to be more involved in their blitz schemes, but left them with man coverage in the secondary and no safety help over the top.
