Week 11 NFL, Jets Vs. Texans: Fourth Quarter Recap, A Lot Of Fireworks

Well, the first quarter may have lacked offense, but the fourth quarter surely didn’t.

The Jets started the quarter with a comfortable 20-7 lead, but somehow found themselves down 27-23, with the football and no timeouts remaining!

The reason was a masterful quarter by Texans quarterback Matt Schaub. He did all of this without WR Andre Johnson, who Darrelle Revis did a great job in covering. TE Joel Dreessen was a huge lift for the Texans today and had over 100 yards receiving.

After RB Shonn Greene fumbled near midfield with the Jets leading, 23-10, the Texans took their chances downfield, and it worked. On the first play from scrimmage, Schaub found Dreessen for a 43-yard strike for a touchdown, to pull the Texans within 6. After a quick 3-and-out from the Jets, the Texans got the ball again, and put together another solid drive, which they capped off with an Arian Foster touchdown.

After a Sanchez interception, and Texans field goal, Sanchez had one minute to work with and no timeouts, down 27-23. He found LaDainian Tomlinson over the middle to get them to midfield, and then Braylon Edwards on a 40-yard strike to put them inside the 10-yard line.

Then, he found Santonio Holmes on a fade route in the corner of the end zone who had his man beat, and the rest was history.

Luck be a lady with the Jets, and they won again, in dramatic fashion, 30-27.
