Both of these teams came into this game losers of two straight, so something had to give.
NFL Week 11 Scores And Results: In Defense Battle, Redskins Win In Overtime, 19-16
This was one of those football games where the defense dictates the tempo of the game and dominates.
The Titans main detriment was at quarterback, as QB Vince Young had a subpar game, completing 12 of 16 passes for 165 yards but failing to help his offense finish off drives. After leaving due to injury, QB Rusty Smith entered the game for the Titans, and it was all downhill from there. Smith completed 3 of 9 passes for 62 yards and one interception.
QB Donovan McNabb had a solid game as the Redskins looked to the air often, completing 30 of 50 passes for 376 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. WR Santonio Moss was the benefactor, catching 6 balls for 106 yards and one touchdown.
This game was not decided in regulation, so it went to overtime. Kicker Graham Gano had previously missed from 51 yards and 47 yards, but it was not to be in overtime. He stepped up and drilled a 48-yard field goal to give the Redskins a 19-16 win in overtime, with 8:17 remaining.
