Buccaneers Vs. Ravens: Second Quarter Update, Still A Defensive Game

If you like defense, you’ll love this game. The Ravens currently lead 10-3.

Defense set the tone of the game early, and nothing has changed.

With the pace of the game slow, and the two teams grid-locked at 3-3, the Ravens set up the play-action pass perfectly and snuck in a 70-yard pass to TE Todd Heap for the first touchdown of the day.

Neither team has abandoned the run yet, but both are still struggling to rack up yards on the ground. RB LeGarrette Blount has carried the ball nine times for 25 yards. On the other side of the ball, RB Ray Rice has eight carries for 21 yards.

WR Derrick Mason leads the Ravens with five catches for 57 yards. The Ravens seem to have a favorable matchup with Mason, and they are exploiting it.

Tampa Bay has forced the only turnover of the day; an interception by CB Aqib Talib.
