Buccaneers Vs. Ravens: Third Quarter Update, Ravens Defense Dominates, They Lead, 17-3

Third quarter brought a lot of nothing. A lot of punting was had by both Ravens and Buccaneers.

The Ravens lead 17-3 at the half. With just 6:45 remaining in the game, they still lead, 17-3.

QB Joe Flacco is having a huge day, completing 24 of 34 passes for 248 yards and two touchdowns, with one interception as well. RB Ray Rice has been kept in check today, though, carrying the ball 16 times for 56 yards. RB Willis McGahee has not been as lucky, carrying the ball 3 times for 9 yards.

For the Bucs, QB Josh Freeman has completed 13 of 30 passes for 130 yards. He has not been accurate, and has been extremely lucky to have not been intercepted a few times. Freeman has been doing a good job evading the Baltimore blitz, though.

Freeman did find a wide-open WR Michael Spurlock in the end zone. Unfortunately, Spurlock pulled a “Steve Johnson,” and dropped the pass.
