No Gates? No Floyd? No problem. QB Philip Rivers is still finding ways to shred the worst secondary in the National Football League.
Week 9 NFL, Chargers Vs. Texans: Ajirotutu and McMichael Both With Two Touchdown Grabs, Lead 29-23
There’s a reason that the Texans are giving up over 300 yards per game through the air, and the Chargers are figuring it out. Wide receiver Seyi Ajirotutu has caught four balls for 112 yards. Two of which were touchdowns.
Tight end Randy McMichael is having a big day also. He may only have two catches for 23 yards, but both grabs went for touchdowns.
Analysts said the Chargers didn’t have enough weapons healthy to outscore the Texans offense today. Obviously they forgot to factor in that the Texans pass defense is awful.
There are 2 minutes remaining in the game, and the Texans are driving, though. They are on the Chargers’ 40-yard line, and the conclusion of this game should be a great one. We’ll keep you updated, as always.
