The first half brought a lot of fireworks, and a lot of points. The third quarter, not so much.
Week 9 NFL, Colts Vs. Eagles, Third Quarter Update: Quarter Dominated By Defense
The Eagles jumped out to a 13-0 lead after the first quarter, with QB Peyton Manning responding and putting up 17 of his own to give the Colts the lead going into the half. However, after Manning lost Collie, he was stuck with one less target to work with, and it affected him a bit. Eagles also made some good adjustments on defense.
Manning has completed 20 of 32 passes for 196 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. His counterpart, Eagles QB Michael Vick, has completed 15 of 24 passes for 197 yards and one touchdown.
The Colts have 247 yards to the Eagles’ 339. Time of possession is nearly even, with Philly possessing the ball one minute longer than Indy.
We expect a very exciting fourth quarter, as the Eagles are knocking on the door right now and may put up points on this drive.
