Steelers Vs. Bengals: Hines Ward Fumbles And T.O. Scores

Hinesfumble_medium

The bubble screen so favored by the Pittsburgh Steelers turned out to produce a huge mistake midway through the second quarter. After losing guard Chris Kemoeatu and center Maurkice Pouncey, the Steelers went to quick bubble screens to counter quick Bengals blitzes. Unfortunately for them, Leon Hall forced a Hines Ward fumble on the second consecutive attempt.

With a chance to get back in the game, the Bengals took advantage with two passes to Terrell Owens for 33 yards. The second of which was a 19-yard touchdown pass down the middle of the defense.

Now, with the Steelers down two starting linemen, the Bengals are daring the Steelers to pass by sending the house on blitzes to test a battered front. Pittsburgh went three and out on its ensuing drive and now the Bengals have a chance to tie or take the lead.
