Michael Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles offense decided to show up in the third quarter versus the New York Giants.
NFL Week 15, Giants Vs. Eagles: Eagles Offense Shows Up, Giants Lead 24-10
Jeremy Maclin ran a crossing route over the mouth of the end zone and Vick found his wide open wide receiver for an easy touchdown to cut the Giants lead by seven to 24-10. Vick and the Eagles offense, outside of running back LeSean McCoy, have been effective as Vick managed only 91 yards passing on 14 of 21 throwing attempts for one touchdown and one interception. He also added 36 yards on 6 carries. McCoy has followed up his 149 yard rushing performance last week versus the Dallas Cowboys with 64 yards on 10 rushing attempts and four catches for 13 yards. Explosive wide receiver DeSean Jackson has yet to catch a pass.
Eli Manning and the Giants offense was once again all over the Eagles defense but were thwarted by a fumble by two-touchdown catching wide receiver Mario Manningham. The fumble was recovered by the Eagles and turned into the touchdown pass by Vick to Maclin.
Giants lead the Eagles 24-10 going into the fourth quarter.
