After three quarters, the game in Heinz Field is still deadlocked at 17.
Jets Vs. Steelers: Jets Get First Offensive Touchdown In Three Games
The Steelers received the football to start the half, and put together a well-orchestrated drive which resulted in a 2-yard Rashard Mendenhall touchdown.
It was not looking good for the Jets, who were still looking to score their first offensive touchdown in three games and found themselves down a touchdown.
Minutes later, the streak was over. The Jets put together a solid drive with a lot of balance, and it worked. Sanchez found Braylon Edwards on a deep out which put the Jets in the red zone. After which, the Jets looked to conservative playcalling and found themselves in a “4th & 1” scenario.
That was when they struck. QB Mark Sanchez sold a play-fake and made it look like he was handing it off to RB Shonn Greene up the middle, but Sanchez kept it himself on a naked bootleg and ran it in for the touchdown.
