Mike Shanahan seemed diplomatic in responding to scathing words released Thursday by Fletcher Smith, Donovan McNabb’s agent, about the Redskins’ treatment of his client. Kyle Shanahan, on the other hand, was much less diplomatic. The offensive coordinator fired back at Smith, calling his comments “disturbing” in an interview with CSN Washington.

Speaking to reporters Shanahan called the numerous accusations levied towards him "disturbing," "entertaining," and "a joke." He also said that he and McNabb met face-to-face to discuss the situation and have since cleared the air.
In fact, Kyle Shanahan said that McNabb himself contested the claims made by Smith in his statement. As SB Nation D.C. notes, this would indicate that Smith sent out that statement without consulting McNabb, which would be hard to believe.
Mike Shanahan declined to comment further on his statement from last night, while Donovan McNabb also declined to comment other than to confirm that he met with Kyle Shanahan last night.
