The Oakland Raiders’ best offensive player may not be who you would think it is.
Raiders Vs. Colts: Janikowski Drills 59-Yard Field Goal
K Sebastian Janikowski was drafted by the Raiders in 2000 with a first-round draft pick, which was questioned by many analysts and pundits. Definitely an interesting choice, but it has worked out for them as he has been very consistent over the years.
Today, it certainly mattered, because how many teams would attempt a field goal from the opponent’s 41-yard line? The Raiders did, today, and Janikowski drilled it.
A 59-yard field goal was no problem for Janikowski, and he drilled it to tie the game at 10-10.
Update:
Janikowski followed the 59-yard field goal with a 38-yard one, to give the Raiders the lead by three points.
After which, Peyton Manning drove the Colts down the field, drawing a big pass interference penalty to set up an 18-yard touchdown pass to TE Jacob Tamme.
