The New York Giants got out to a fast start versus the Washington Redskins in the first quart, putting up 14 points in quick succcession. In the second quarter the Giants would add to their lead over the Redskins, making it 21 to nothing, but the Giants defensive domination of the Redskins offense would end.
NFL Week 13, Redskins Vs. Giants: Ahmad Bradshaw Continues Giants Running Domination, Giants Lead 21-0 At Half
Ahmad Bradshaw scored his second touchdown of the game, which also was the only scoring of the quarter. The Redskins made progress offensively versus the Giants defense but couldn't make their way to the end zone. The Fox Sports announcers pointed out that Mike Shannahan's offense finally turned into the type of offense that quarterback Donovan McNabb exploited the Giants defense with while a Philadelphia Eagles player. With the switch to short passes and screens McNabb and the Redskins offense started to chip away at the Giants defense but everything came to a halt when wide receiver Anthony Armstrong was stripped of the ball and the Giants recovered.
The Giants lead the Redskins 21-0 at the half.
