When the Washington Redskins let up 59 points to the Philadelphia Eagles 3 weeks ago it seemed as though the Redskins defensive couldn't get much worse. The New York Giants proved otherwise today.
NFL Week 13 Scores And Results: Giants Run For Four Touchdowns, Down Redskins 31-7
200 rushing yards combined from Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw provided the Giants with plenty of time of possession and they utilized it to keep the Redskins down for 4 quarters. Both Jacobs and Bradshaw had two touchdowns on the ground, making up for a rather weak passing attack from the Giants offense. Eli Manning only managed 161 passing yards on 15 completions (25 attempts) and had an interception.
The Redskins could only find the endzone once, when quarterback Donovan McNabb connected with wide receiver Anthony Armstrong for a 33 yard touchdown. It would be the only time that the Redskins got the better of the Giants defense, which forced fourth turnovers - two fumbles and two interceptions - at key moments during Redskins drives.
The 8-4 Giants get the Minnesota Vikings next week, who are red hot after the firing of head coach Brad Childress and the hiring of Leslie Frazier as interim head coach. The 5-7 Redskins face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
