The Niners were faced with an arduous task today; they were to travel cross-country to Lambeau Field for a 1 p.m. start time against the pass-heavy, prolific Packers. On top of that, they’re a warm-weather team traveling to a frigid climate. So, everyone expected them to be blown out. In the first half, that wasn’t the case, as the Packers only lead 14-13 at the half.

This game was a tale of two halves, though, as the Packers took charge in the second half and dominated. Green Bay was out-scoring opponents 70-23 in third quarters coming into this game, and this game was no exception.
QB Aaron Rodgers completed 21 of 30 passes for 298 yards and three touchdowns. WR Greg Jennings was the benefactor, pulling in seven catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns.
For the Niners, QB Troy Smith completed only 10 of 25 passes for 194 yards, with one touchdown and one interception.
