The Kansas City Chiefs are currently in first place in the AFC West, and they don’t have any plans of relinquishing that lead any time soon. Maybe that’s why they held Kyle Orton to only nine completions today.
NFL Week 13 Scores And Results: Chiefs Squeak Out 10-6 Victory Over Broncos
Today, they used their running game to keep the Bronco’s defense on the field and win the field position battle. RB Jamaal Charles carried the ball 21 times for 116 yards, and Thomas Jones rushed for 53 yards as well.
QB Matt Cassel didn’t have a particularly great game, and his accuracy was a bit off. However, he did get his team the win. He completed 17 of 31 passes for 196 yards and one touchdown.
After having a red-hot November, WR Dwayne Bowe didn’t catch a single pass today. Also, he was only targeted three times, which is quite strange.
For the Broncos, QB Kyle Orton had arguably his worst game of the season, completing only nine of 28 passes for 117 yards.
