As expected, Chargers are fighting their way back into this football game.
Chargers Vs. Raiders: Philip Rivers Has Found A Rhythm; Helps Cut Raiders’ Lead To 21-13
They remained sluggish through most of the third quarter, but finally “clicked” on a long drive which was lead by Rivers. Unfortunately, San Diego had to settle for a field goal on that drive.
Still, the Chargers defense came up big and put the offense right back on the field after an Oakland “3 and out.”
Philip Rivers capitalized. He picked up right where he left off, hitting his targets when they were open, and the Chargers finally scored their first touchdown of the day as he found TE Antonio Gates in the end zone.
Rivers has completed 21 of 32 passes for 257 yards and one touchdown (one interception as well). His counterpart, QB Jason Campbell has only completed 9 of 15 passes for 81 yards.
Unfortunately for San Diego, the scoreboard is not reflecting their performance, and they find themselves down, 21-13.
