After the two teams played to a zero-zero draw in the first quarter, Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb contributed to all 14 points scored in the second quarter. Both the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys scored touchdowns in an equally stiff second quarter.
Eagles Vs. Cowboys: Kevin Kolb Throws For TD, Fumbles Away Another In Second Quarter
Kolb found undrafted rookie wide receiver Chad Hall for a 4-yard touchdown, 7 seconds in to the second quarter. Hall, in his first year out of the Airforce Academy, caught his first career touchdown reception on the play. Kicker David Aker's point after attempt put the Eagles up 7-0 early into the second.
The Cowboys were able to respond on a Kolb mistake. Pressured only minutes later, Kolb was forced to the right of the pocket and was stripped of the ball by a Dallas defender. Defensive end DeMarcus Ware scooped up the fumble and ran it into the end zone for a 17-yard fumble recovery touchdown.
The teams head into the half tied at 7 apiece.
