Jets Vs. Steelers Odds: Pittsburgh Favored To Win AFC Championship Game, Advance To Super Bowl

The odds for the AFC Championship Game have the Pittsburgh Steelers favored to return to the Super Bowl for the second time in three years.

Our collection of NFL odds has the Steelers favored by four points over the New York Jets, up from three points earlier this week. This could be a result of the Steelers being stronger than they were earlier this season, or the Steelers playing an offensively limited team at home, or a general trend towards one of the NFL’s most popular teams.

In any case, stat aficionado Nate Silver is on board with betting the Steelers:

Gotta say, Steelers -4 at home seems like a pretty good bet if you’re into that sort of thing. Then again, Mark Sanchez has an astounding four road playoff wins in his short career. That’s got a lot to do with Jets not named Mark Sanchez, but the USC product is, at the very least, not losing these playoff games on his own.

As we near kickoff at 6:30 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, stay tuned to this StoryStream for updates. And for further reading, be sure to check out our Steelers blog, Behind The Steel Curtain, and our Jets blog, Gang Green Nation.
