Jay Cutler has an image problem. This is not news, as he has that face and went to that school and dated that girl, but mainly it's that face he makes at all times. And it's only gotten worse since yesterday, when he appeared to some to quit the NFC Championship Game due to a skinned knee.
The Jay Cutler PR Plan: Just Have Coach K And Philip Rivers Criticize Him
It’s been revealed that Cutler’s knee injury was actually very serious, and he did not quit but rather was forced to sit out, but Cutler’s rep is still going to need a boost. This is where Mike Krzyzewski comes in.
Somebody asked Duke Blue Devils basketball coach Krzyzewski for his thoughts on Cutler, inspiring Coach K to wonder why Cutler wasn’t encouraging his teammates from the sideline. (How hard would you have boggled at the sight of a broken Jay Cutler clapping and whistling for his teammates?) Since you hate Duke and everything about it, Cutler has now regained a point in your book. But wait, there’s more.
Chargers QB Philip Rivers, a menacing toddler, offered this quote on the matter: "Me personally, I'd have to have been taken off in a cart." He dialed it down after that, but way to stand up for a fellow quarterback who ... well, OK, who can't stand you, but still. Again, Rivers is obnoxious, which makes Cutler look better.
I could go on, or just let commenter CKGator break it down for you:
This whole thing is very easily interpreted: If Darnell Dockett is on one side of an issue, the right answer is on the other. Simple.
