Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers suffered a minor shoulder injury during the NFC Championship Game, but there’s no reason to think he won’t play in Super Bowl XLV. Rodgers took a hit from Chicago Bears safety Danieal Manning while running in a one-yard touchdown in the first quarter. He also took a number of other shots throughout the game, though none that appeared to seriously affect his shoulder.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy isn’t worried about Rodgers, but says the quarterback is sore. McCarthy said every player has wear and tear at this point in the season anyway.
Rodgers missed two games this season with concussions, and has had to adjust his playing style later in the year to avoid unnecessary contact. But as he proved early in the NFC title game, he’s still more than willing to take a hit.
For their part, Packers fans are a good bit more worried than McCarthy is.
