Tim Tebow Update: John Fox Likely To Announce Starting QB Tuesday

Is it Tim Tebow time in Denver? The second-year quarterback replaced Kyle Orton in Sunday's loss to the Chargers, but Broncos head coach John Fox refused to say whether Tebow had passed Orton on the depth chart. Fox did hint, though, that a decision might be announced Tuesday.

“I’d say there will be a strong likelihood that we will address that tomorrow,” he told reporters during his Monday press conference.

Fox said that he’s still evaluating which quarterback gave his team the best chance to win, adding that he’ll tell the players before he tells the media. Only injured players receiving treatment were at the team’s practice facility on Monday; the entire team will be present Tuesday. From the AP:

“That’s something that we’ll evaluate. We’ll meet. I don’t have the team in and with all due respect for what you guys do, the way we’ll operate is we’ll communicate with the people involved and the team long before we announce it to you guys,” Fox told a roomful of reporters. “So, that won’t be happening today because we don’t see the team until tomorrow.”
