Nearly Everyone Expects Tim Tebow To Be Named Denver Broncos Starter

Reading through SB Nation's Mile High Report, it's clear that Denver Broncos fans expect head coach John Fox to name Tim Tebow the new starting quarterback of the team on Tuesday. Fox declined to do so on Monday but indicated it's possible a decision could be announced on Tuesday.

Tebow took the reins in the second half against the San Diego Chargers last week and the results were mixed but he did nearly lead them to a comeback victory.

With the Broncos season toiling away at 1-4, and Kyle Orton struggling, Fox has one option, Mile High Report says.

For now, however, we simply wait for John Fox to make the announcement we all know is coming - Tim Tebow will be the starting quarterback of the Denver Broncos for the rest of 2011.

Is there any other way John Fox can go? No way, and not just because the fans want Tebow to play. I'd like to think Kyle Orton's atrocious play was the reason for the change, not the booing fans - they'll find something else to boo about - and Orton's benching was clearly deserved.

Broncos fans have been vocal in their desire to see Tebow play. You could even tell last week when he entered the game, it seemed the entire energy of the fans in the stadium, and the players on the sideline, seemed to change.

Fox’s press conference will go down on Tuesday and we’ll report back with his decision.
