NFL Odds And Lines Week 6: 49ers Vs. Lions

The San Francisco 49ers and the Detroit Lions battle in a contest of surprising teams. Will the Lions’ undefeated season finally come to an end?

The San Francisco 49ers continue to surprise everyone with their winning ways, but will they be able to continue that against the 5-0 Detroit Lions on Sunday? They opened as six-point road underdogs, according to Odds Shark, before it shifted to four points. This is going to be one of the top games to watch this Sunday.

The 49ers, however, are missing wide receiver Josh Morgan, as he broke his leg on Sunday and is lost for the season. He had been turning into a reliable target for Alex Smith. Tight end Vernon Davis will see increased targets to him until the team can settle on another wide receiver opposite Michael Crabtree. Ted Ginn appears to be the new No. 2 wide receiver.

The Lions continue to astound everyone with their astonishing run to start the season. Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson have connected for nine touchdowns through five games, slightly upsetting Johnson's pace for touchdown catches in a season. Still, the two will go up against a pass defense that allows nearly 265 yards per game.
