NFL Scores Week 6: Patriots Get Comeback From Tom Brady, Beat Cowboys 20-16
Tom Brady staged another fourth quarter comeback to rescue the Patriots against the Cowboys.
Brady led the Patriots on a game-winning drive, connecting with Aaron Hernandez for a touchdown to complete a fourth quarter comeback and beat the Cowboys, 20-16. Brady threw for 289 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions on the day, but few will remember much except the 10-play, 80-yard drive he piloted in the game's final minutes.
Brady's two picks were just half of the Patriots' four turnovers on the day (Hernandez atoned for a lost fumble with eight catches for 68 yards and the final touchdown), but Dallas couldn't take advantage of the Pats' miscues. Tony Romo threw for 317 yards and a touchdown, but the Cowboys managed just field goals on two of their three red zone trips, and that lack of capitalization left the door open for Brady.
He’s fairly good at making his way through doors, metaphorically.
With the win, the Patriots improve to 5-1 on the year. The Cowboys fell to 2-3 in 2011 with the loss.
