Marques Colston Update: Colston Is Active, Will Play Against Jaguars

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston is active and will play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Colston, who broke his collarbone in the Saints' Week 1 loss to the Green Bay Packers and has not played since, was already expected to play, but it now looks to be official. Colston caught six passes for 81 yards in his only game of the season three weeks ago.

Colston's return will only help the NFC's highest-scoring offense; the Saints average 34.7 points per game. Drew Brees is 2-1 with eight touchdowns and no interceptions in his career against the Jaguars. Jacksonville will look to counteract New Orleans' offense with their stingy defense, ranked fourth in the NFL with 280 yards allowed per game. With the emergence of Saints tight end Jimmy Graham as well as wide receivers Lance Moore and Devery Henderson, Colston's return will only make things harder for the Jaguars.
