Injuries have kept San Diego Chargers tight end Antonio Gates from turning in his regular level of productivity. On Sunday, he finally scored his first touchdown of the season. Gates caught a 2-yard pass from Phillip Rivers in the back of the end zone to give the Chargers a 14-3 lead over the New York Jets.

The Chargers will certainly be hoping this is a sign of things to come. Gates had not played in any of the past four games and had not made a catch since Week 1. So far in this game, he has three catches for 24 yards.
