Where would the New York Jets be on Sunday without Darrelle Revis and Plaxico Burress? Well, they certainly wouldn't be leading the San Diego Chargers 24-21 in the fourth quarter.
VIDEO: Plaxico Burress, Darrelle Revis Bring Jets Back
Burress has scored three touchdowns, the last two coming after the Jets trailed 21-10. The go-ahead touchdown was set up by a 64-yard interception return by Revis.
Revis now has four interceptions in seven games, piling up 184 return yards along the way. This one came after Rivers’ pass deflected off Stephen Jackson.
But the bigger story is Burress, who had missed the last two years while serving a prison sentence. Burress now has five touchdowns this season, but on Sunday he is really starting to look like his old self. Burress had just seven catches in his past three games, probably prompting many to drop him from their fantasy teams. He had not scored since Week 3.
Burress also has four catches for 25 yards.
