Packers vs. Vikings: Experience Trumps Inexperience, Charles Woodson Picks Off Christian Ponder Twice

The wiley Green Bay Packer veteran Charles Woodsoon is starting to make life difficult for rookie quarterback Christian Ponder, intercepting him twice on the day in his first start. Ponder started off looking good, going 5 for 8, for 108 yards and a touchdown but has since cooled off in the second half.

Woodson, one of the most decorated cornerbacks in professional football, has a clear advantage over Ponder in the experience department. Ponder was looking to step in after Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier decided to bench Donovan McNabb for posting a losing record in the first 6 games of the season.

Frazier understands Ponder is likely the future of the Vikings franchise and that he will have to learn to beat the Green Bay Packers if they expect to get anywhere since they both reside in the NFC North. Had McNabb been starting today, the Vikings would likely be in way worse shape than they are now. It's time for Ponder to find his sea legs.
