Sam Bradford Injury: Status Still Unclear As Rams QB Doesn’t Practice

St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford did not practice again today. Bradford has yet to return to the practice field after missing last week's game against the Dallas Cowboys with a high ankle sprain. According to the team, he may try and practice Friday, but there is no guarantee.

This morning a report from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch said that Bradford was likely to miss this week's game against the New Orleans Saints. He tried to give it a go last Friday, but team training staff noticed that he was throwing off his heel rather than the front of his foot. The second-year quarterback has been wearing a walking boot this week, after wearing a cast over the weekend, and is being kept off his feet.

Backup quarterback A.J. Feeley is practicing with the first team this week. He made his first NFL start since 2007 last week in a 34-7 loss to the Cowboys.

That was the first game Bradford has missed since being drafted first overall in 2010. His high ankle sprain is not the first injury the Rams’ quarterback has suffered this season. A finger injury and a thigh bruise gave coaches and fans cause for concern earlier in the year. Poor protection from his offensive line has resulted in 21 sacks against Bradford this season.
