Cowboys Vs. Eagles: TV Schedule, Game Time Announcers And More

The Dallas Cowboys will head to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles on Sunday night. Sunday’s meeting could be enormously important in deciding what appears to be a wide open NFC East.

Though rocky starts for both teams has taken off some of the edge, Sunday night's showdown between the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles figures to be one of the highlights of the weekend. Unsurprisingly, defensive coordinator Rob Ryan stoked the fires of the rivalry over the summer when he said "we're going to beat their ass when we play them."

Neither team has much reason for trash talk. Last week's 34-7 win over the St. Louis Rams was the first complete performance the Cowboys have put together this season, highlighted by a 253-yard coming out party for DeMarco Murray in place of the injured Felix Jones. An already potent aerial attack will be that much more dangerous if the Cowboys have truly found the answer at running back. The Rams aren't exactly the '85 Bears, though neither are the Eagles. On the year, Philadelphia is allowing over 123 yards per game on the ground.

The Eagles have plenty of playmakers of their own, however, starting with the obvious: Michael Vick. Though he has been hit or miss in the passing game, Vick is perpetually on the verge of something incredible. Last season he averaged 10.4 yards per pass attempt in his only meeting against the Cowboys, helping the Eagles on their way to 429 yards of total offense. With Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson, the Eagles are threats to score from anywhere on the field.

In a wide open NFC East, Sunday’s meeting could be enormously significant. At the very least, expect some fireworks.
