Chargers Vs. Chiefs: TV Schedule, Game Time Announcers And More

The Kansas City Chiefs are looking for their fourth straight win when they host the 4-2 San Diego Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night.

The Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers renew their AFC West rivalry in a prime time meeting on Monday Night Football at Arrowhead Stadium.

Prone to slow starts under head coach Norv Turner, the Chargers are out to a 4-2 start and beat the Chiefs 20-17 in Week 3, with running back Ryan Mathews running for 98 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The Chiefs hold a 51-50-1 edge in the all-time series, including a 24-12 upset win in the last meeting at Arrowhead Stadium, with rookie punt returner Dexter McCluster returning a punt 94 yards for a touchdown to put the Chiefs on a path that led them to an AFC West title in 2010.

Kansas City has won three straight games over the Chargers on Monday Night Football and are looking for a fourth straight win after beginning the season 0-3. The Chiefs have had to overcome injuries to Pro Bowl safety Eric Berry and running back Jamaal Charles, both of whom tore ACLs in the first two weeks of the season. Despite losing Charles, the Chiefs rank seventh in the NFL in rushing, thanks largely to the efforts of Jackie Battle (45 carries for 232 yards) and outside-the-box uses of McCluster (42 carries, 210 yards). Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel is looking to bounce back from his 15-30-161 performance against the Oakland Raiders, where he was intercepted twice. Cassel had posted passer ratings over 100.0 in the previous three weeks.

The Chargers are trying to shake off a 27-21 loss to the New York Jets, a game in which they led by 11 points at halftime. Quarterback Philip Rivers has struggled with turnovers, throwing nine interceptions through six games, putting him on pace for 24 on the season, and while he's not on the team's injury report, there are concerns that he's not fully healthy. On the injury report are Pro Bowl left guard Kris Dielman, who is expected to miss a few games after suffering a grand mal seizure, which was caused by a concussion in the loss to the Jets. The Chargers may also be without running back Mike Tolbert, who has been slowed by a hamstring and hand injury.
