Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow is expected to remain the team's starter in next week's game against the Oakland Raiders, according to the Denver Post. Broncos head coach John Fox didn't commit to a starter after Tebow's 18-of-39 performance in a 45-10 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday so speculation began that the Broncos quarterback train could move onto to backup Brady Quinn.
Tim Tebow Expected To Remain Starter For Denver Broncos
But the Denver Post reports that Fox is expected to stick with Tebow, who has five career starts. Tebow's play, overall, has been rough but some held out hope for him after he helped engineer a 15-point comeback against the Miami Dolphins last week.
I could see the Broncos giving Tebow several more weeks even if he’s struggling. At 2-5, the Broncos season isn’t headed to the playoffs so they may as well gather as much information as they can on Tebow before next April’s draft. Maybe he surprises them over the better part of a season (or maybe he doesn’t).
SB Nation’s Mile High Report is talking Tebow today, too.
